Get a Bursary

Sasol offers young, prospective CA’s the opportunity to take advantage of a fully comprehensive bursary whilst studying towards the BCom Hons/CTA qualification. Successful applicants will receive a bursary that will cover both their undergraduate (3 year BCom) and postgraduate (BCom Hons) qualifications. Those trainees who successfully attain their CTA qualification will be invited to enrol in the CA Development Programme which is hosted by our training partner firm, KPMG.

A Sasol bursary is one of the most competitive on offer, with tuition, text books, laptop allowance and residential accommodation covered to mention some of the perks.

Join our CA Development Programme

To keep up with the demand for qualified Chartered Accountants in South Africa, Sasol has partnered with Professional services firm, KPMG, who will train and develop our Sasol bursars who are studying toward the Chartered Accountant profession through their existing and well established CA Development Programme. The partnership will afford the Sasol Bursars the opportunity to complete their CA Development Programme within the Professional Services firm after which the trainees will be appointed at Sasol (dependent on opportunities available at the time).

To be considered as a prospective CA candidate at KPMG, the applicant is expected to have successfully completed their B.Com Honours and CTA.

As part of the development cycle in which we consider our candidate CAs to be at the time of training, we insist on offering exposure for all Sasol Graduates to the Sasol Group through a number of networking and development sessions across the 3 year development period, which includes: rotation opportunities at Sasol, site and office visits as part of orientation sessions as well as mentorship and coaching provided by a trained, Sasol CA (SA).
