|

27 September 2012
Day nine of the Sasol Solar Challenge saw the teams come in from Bloemfontein and Kokstad to meet up in Pietermaritzburg before taking on the tenth stage of
the challenge that would see the teams head up north to Secunda.
The University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN) team went home to a big welcome in Pietermaritzburg. On route between Bloemfontein and the stop over point in Pietermaritzburg, the UKZN car covered 300km on the road. Consistency seems to be the order for the UKZN team as they steadily improved as days went by. The team maintained a steady pace which saw them safely arrive at the finishing
point of the race.
Today the teams go from Pietermaritzburg to Secunda for the second last stage of the 2012 Sasol Solar Challenge. This is the last of the big distances and most of the teams will be looking to put in a strong showing for the final two stages of the race. After today, the teams will race back to the CSIR complex in Pretoria crossing the finish line of the 2012 Sasol Solar Challenge.
