Sasol provides sponsorship to selected sporting, artistic and other organisations and events. These sponsorships help in strengthening the company's
role as a corporate citizen.
We pursue sponsorships that enhance our brand, inspire creativity and innovation, and create unique opportunities to build stakeholder relationships.
Sasol devotes most of its sponsorship to sport, mainly rugby and football. Among others, we sponsor South Africa's national teams, including:
- The rugby team – "Springboks"
- Women's Football team – "Banyana Banyana"
- Paralympics team and
- The men's National Wheelchair basketball team.
We also sponsor the annual Sasol Rally; Sasol New Signatures art competition; the Black Tie Ensemble and the South African Youth orchestra; SciFest and Techno
X festivals of science, engineering and technology; as well as conservation and bird watching programmes.
Through its corporate memberships programme, Sasol supports socio-economic initiatives including: Nepad Business Foundation; Business Trust and the Black
Management Forum.
