Sasol Polymers is a division of Sasol Chemical Industries, and plays a significant role as a company in Sasol's family of businesses. It conducts business throughout southern Africa and exports to over 30 countries, mainly in the Asia Pacific region and East and West Africa.

Sasol Polymers is a producer and marketer of ethylene, propylene, low-density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), polypropylene, vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chloralkali chemicals and mining reagents.

The company aims to provide fast, reliable services and consistently high quality products at competitive prices. This is achieved through customer support in the areas of technical expertise, safety, and environmental responsibility - all within the ambit of a stringent quality control system and a Responsible Care® initiative.

Sasol Polymers’ polymer products are key to a wide range of industrial applications including bottles and profiles, domestic disinfectants, footwear and packaging; while products from its chemicals portfolio are used in industries such as; mining, particularly in terms of gold extraction; pulp and paper; steel; textiles; and water treatment industries.

Production facilities are situated in South Africa at Sasolburg and Secunda. Sales offices are located in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Sasolburg and Dubai.

Strategically placed joint ventures extend the production and marketing arm of Sasol Polymers from South Africa to Iran, China and Malaysia.

Sasol Polymers is also involved with the Hazchem Emergency response which offers a 24-hour, nationwide service where Sasol Polymers operates in conjunction with local authorities and provide training in the safe handling and use of chemical products.
