Advanced Materials:
Our Advanced Materials Division comprises three sub-divisions:

The inorganics sub-division supplies high purity and ultra-high purity alumina, as well as other advanced alumina-based products.  Due to the high chemical purity and excellent dispersibility, as well as the fact that key characteristics including pore volume, particle size and specific surface area can be adapted to customers’ specific requirements, these products are highly sought after. We currently offer more than 400 tailor-made specifications to our customers.

Our carbon sub-division produces high quality carbon-based products at the Sasol Synfuels production facility in Secunda. The physical properties of our material, combined with distinctive chemical specifications makes it ideal for expansion into selected speciality markets.

Our catalysts sub-division is accountable for marketing and sales of Sasol’s in-house developed cobalt Low Temperature Fischer-Tropsch (Co LTFT) catalyst.

Wax Division
Our Wax Division develops and produces one of the most comprehensive ranges of mineral oil-based and synthetic paraffin waxes as well as petroleum jellies. Our highly specialised and experienced professionals serve customers in such industries as candles, hot-melt adhesives, bitumen modification, construction board, personal care and cosmetics, industrial applications, packaging, pharmaceuticals, polymer processing and rubber and tyres. Through its backward integration into Fischer-Tropsch technology waxes the Wax Division is able to provide a sustainable future feedstock solution to global markets.
