Sasol Mining has opened applications for its 2027 Women in Fenceline Communities Bursaries programme, providing opportunities for academically talented young women residing in communities surrounding the Sasol Mining Secunda Complex to pursue careers in engineering, mining and related fields.
The all-inclusive undergraduate bursaries form part of Sasol Mining's commitment to advancing education, developing critical skills and creating opportunities for women in traditionally underrepresented sectors. Applications open on 24 August 2026 and close on 13 September 2026.
The bursaries are available to female learners and students residing within approximately 50 kilometres of Secunda and surrounding communities. Successful applicants will receive support to study towards B Engineering or BSc Engineering qualifications in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical and Mining Engineering. Opportunities are also available for studies in Geology and Mine Surveying.
