Johannesburg, South Africa – Sasol Rewards, Sasol’s customer loyalty programme offeringthat gives members access to fuel, convenience and lifestyle rewards, has been recognised at the 2026 South African Loyalty Awards, receiving top honours in the Best Programme: Fuel category and a highly commended recognition for the Danki Mzansi campaign in the Best Short-Term Loyalty Marketing Campaign category.
The awards celebrate excellence and innovation in loyalty, customer relationship management and customer engagement across South Africa. Sasol’s recognition affirms the strength of its customer-focused approach and the continued growth of the Sasol Rewards programme since its launch in 2022.
Sasol Rewards has grown to more than 2.4 million members, with loyalty members now contributing 65% of total sales. Over the past year, the programme returned more than R251 million in value to customers and maintained an 88.6% redemption rate.
In their citation, the judges said Sasol Rewards “impressed the judges through its ability to deliver meaningful customer value alongside strong commercial results”, adding that the programme’s evolution beyond fuel savings into a personalised lifestyle and convenience ecosystem made it a worthy winner in the fuel category.
Sasol was also highly commended for the Danki Mzansi campaign, which formed part of the company’s 75th anniversary celebrations. The campaign recognised Sasol’s long-standing relationship with South Africans through rewards, competitions, gamification and customer activations, while strengthening engagement with Sasol Rewards.
The campaign generated more than 1.6 million entries and delivered strong customer participation across multiple channels. Judges described it as “a smart, integrated loyalty campaign that combined strong commercial outcomes with meaningful customer engagement”.
