The plant forms part of Sasol’s broader plan to strengthen, grow, and transform the business.
Sasol today celebrated three ecstatic winners who each drove away in a brand-new Isuzu XRIDER Double Cab, marking the conclusion of the 2025 “Faka iGlug Glug” End‑of‑Year Campaign. The official handover event took place at Sasol Rosehaven South following a nationwide competition that achieved record‑breaking participation.
More than 1.16 million entries were received, making this the most successful Sasol Rewards competition to date. The three winners who received their new car keys at today’s event were:
Kroonstad, Free State – Sasol has donated a fully equipped, state-of-the-art fire truck to the Fezile Dabi District Municipality, officially handed over during a ceremony at the Moqhaka Local Municipality on Friday, 13 March 2026.
Pietermaritzburg, South Africa – Sparks of hope and possibility lit up Newton Pre-Vocational Technical School on Friday, 6 March 2026, as Sasol Energy’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) team joined learners for a memorable Back to School handover. With new shoes laced and school bags slung over shoulders, the day marked more than just the start of a school year, it was a celebration of dignity, opportunity, and the power of education to transform lives.
Cape Town, South Africa – SOLA Group has achieved Financial Close (FC) on its Naos-1 Hybrid Solar and Battery Project, a 300 MW (435 MWp) solar PV facility with 660 MWh of battery energy storage (BESS). Enabled by long-term power purchase agreements with Sasol and Air Liquide, the project marks a major milestone in South Africa’s private power market, being the country’s first utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage project purpose-built for wheeling to private end-users across the grid.
Sasolburg, South Africa – Entries have opened for the 31st Sasol Sasolburg Marathon taking place on Saturday, 28 March 2026. This renowned flat and fast event serves as a Comrades qualifier and is expected to draw over 3 000 national and international athletes, reinforcing its reputation as a premier fixture on the running calendar.
